Stipends available for participants from developing countries

Abstract submission and Early Bird registration scheduled to close June 15!

Dear Colleague – please note that the opportunities to submit your abstract and take advantage of the Early Bird registration fee is scheduled to close on June 15.  

Abstracts will be presented both in designated sessions for free communications, as well as in conjunction with invited talks on similar topics and in chaired poster walks.

The extensive preliminary program for this conference is now available on the web site and continues to be updated with new confirmed speakers, workshops and sessions.

We are also happy to remind you that the 2008 International Stillbirth Conference has received support from the Norwegian NORAD agency (www.norad.no) to offer a number of stipends to participants from developing countries.

The stipends will provide support for costs for travel, accommodation, registration and per diem during the stay in Oslo.

The main topics of the conference are

  • Developing countries and social inequities – policies and programs for effective prevention of stillbirths
  • The challenge of fetal growth restriction – the epidemiology, causes and management to prevent deaths
  • Excellence of care: prevention and management – the best evidence for management of pregnancies and stillbirths
  • Providing care for bereaved parents – professional, organizational, social and peer support
