Abstracts (now closed - except Scandinavian track)
The
2008 International Stillbirth Conference welcomes the submission of
abstracts related to all aspects of the understanding and prevention
of stillbirth and its consequences. This includes both original
scientific contributions, descriptive reports on reviews or regional
situations, presentations of health care, bereavement or
organizational programs, as well as artwork.
To be
reviewed and considered for presentation at the 2008 Conference, all
abstracts should be submitted in English, using the form below, at the
latest on the DEADLINE OF July 1.

Submissions specifically to the parallel sessions of the Norwegian
Society for Perinatal Medicine may relate to any field of perinatology,
and should be submitted in a Scandinavian language before September 15th.
The same instructions for authors (below) apply for abstracts in a
Scandinavian language.
Instructions for abstracts:
Abstracts should be written in a common word-processing format
(preferably Microsoft Word) with double-spaced lines, font size 12 pt
(preferably Times New Roman) and two-inch margins on both sides of an
A4 format page. The abstract should be structured as follows:
1)
Title
In
CAPITAL letters with no more than 25 words and no period at the end.
2)
List of authors or artists
(presenting author underlined) with a number to indicate their
institutional / organizational / country affiliation in this format:
John
A. Doe (1), Mary B. Doe (1,2) and Ben Smith (3)

List of institutional
/organizational / country affiliations in this format:

Abstract text. Not to
exceed 2000 characters (spaces included), including any tables. When
possible, the abstract text should be structured in the following
sections and format (the last two sections apply to all submissions):
Introduction: This is why this was important.
Objectives: This is what we wanted to do.
Methods: This is how we did it.
Results: This is what we found.
Conclusion: This is how we interpret it.
Acknowledgements and sources of financing: This is who made this
possible and paid for it, if any.
Conflicts of interest: These are our conflicts of interest, if any.

One – 1 – figure / picture
can be inserted into the word file, below all the text, after ensuring
that the figure itself represents a .jpg file in black and white or
greyscale of no more than 1 Mb, and in a resolution suitable for
high-quality printed reproduction with either the height or the width
being 8 cm or less.
